To capture the best of both worlds, Angsana Velavaru is half on the crystal clear waters of the Maldivian ocean and half on the white sandy beaches of the South Nilandhe Atoll. It is a 30 minute domestic flight and 40 minute speedboat journey from Malé International Airport. Angsana Velavaru is a family friendly resort, and has an indoor and outdoor kids’ club, which offers a wide variety of activities including babysitting services.
All In-Ocean villas are built apart from the island by the house reefs. Each In-ocean is 2 stories high, spacious and each has an infinity pool. All beach villas are equipped with modern amenities such as outdoor rain shower, TV, coffee & tea making facilities, electric kettle, bedroom and outdoor slippers and a bathrobe. All villas have direct access to the the ocean. Wi-fi is available throughout the island.
The watersports and dove center offers free rental of snorkeling equipment, guided snorkeling trips, , glass bottom kayaking, whale shark excursions, stingray feeding, dove trips and night fishing trips are available. Angsana Velavaru is also equipped with a Padi 5 Star Gold Palm Dove center. The resort also houses its own marine laboratory.
Angsana's chefs serve a wide variety of local and international cuisines. Maldivian cuisine, fresh seafood and international dishes are served at the resorts three restaurants. It’s iconic Funa restaurant, serves a fresh lobster dinner. For additional dining, guests are able to book a destination dining experience, an in-villa dining experience, or a floating breakfast.

The fine print
Stays up to 31 Dec 2020 :
Return Seaplane Transfer from 1 is USD 400 per Adult (12 years and above) and USD 270 per Child (age 2 to 11).
Stays beyond 1 Jan 2021 :
Return Seaplane Transfer from 1 is USD 450 per Adult (12 years and above) and USD 270 per Child (age 2 to 11).
Duration of trip is 45mins by Sea Plane from Male International Airport to the Resort.
Duration of trip is 30mins by Domestic Flight from Male. Return Domestic Flight + Speedboat Transfers are at USD 300 per adult (12 years and above) and USD 180 per Child (age 2 to 11). International Airport to Villa International Airport + 40mins by Speedboat from Villa International Airport to the Resort. Infants age below 2 are complimentary however, will not be provided with a seat. If seat is required, the child rate will be applicable. Cancelation with less than 72-hours’ notice prior to the date of the flight will be subject to 50% charge. No-show will be charged at 100%.
The baggage allowance for each guest is 20kg + 5kg (hand luggage) and the seaplane and domestic flight company will levy a surcharge for excess luggage.
While the resort assists in making reservations for both Domestic flights & Seaplane Transfers, the resort has no control on scheduling and departure timings which can be affected by weather conditions.
CHILD POLICY:
Mandatory Green tax of USD 6 per child per night will be charged apart from extra Child charges applicable for each night.
GENERAL POLICIES:
Please present the same credit card used to guarantee your booking when checking in / making the payment at the hotel. Please note that property may contact the cardholder for verification purposes.
